Rules and Regulations for Huntsville Water Utilities Customers

All water bills are due and payable by the tenth of the month.
All unpaid accounts at close of business on the 10th, will incur a 10% late fee.
Shut-off notices will be mailed to all unpaid accounts on or around the 11th of each month.
Service for unpaid accounts will be disconnected on or around the 20th of the month.
Account balances in addition to delinquency/reconnect fees must be paid in full with cash or credit/debit card before service will be restored.
Unpaid accounts will be closed during the last week of the month, prior to processing to the next month's billing.
Huntsville Water Utilities employees must have access to water meters at all times. If access is denied due to fencing, animals, debris or any other reason, a service charge and/or radio read meter may be required at the customer's expense.

Reconnect Fees

$50.00 during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30 pm
$75.00, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 4:30 pm - 9:30 pm
$125.00, weekends, holidays or after 9:30 pm
An additional $100.00 will be added to your bill if disconnected water service is re-connected by the customer or by unauthorized persons

$30.00 NSF check/bank draft fee will be added to your account if payment is returned for insufficient funds or a closed account
In the event a check or bank draft has been dishonored by the customers bank, a cash payment for the account balance (including applicable NSF and reconnect fees) is due by close of business on the 19th of the month or water services will be disconnected and a $50 delinquency fee added to the account balance
Should an account or individual have two payments returned during a 12-month period, Huntsville Water Utilities reserves the right to discontinue bank draft services and only accept cash, money order, card or online future payments
